geekbench: No such file or directory | Fix for 64bit Linux

By | 2014/04/23

If you are unable to run the geekbench benchmark on Linux, it may be because you need to install a few 32bit libraries. Here is a fix!

This is the error you may see:

stmiller@bach:~/dist/Geekbench-3.1.5-Linux$ ./geekbench
-bash: ./geekbench: No such file or directory

On Debian Wheezy and Ubuntu 13.10 or newer perform the following steps:

$ sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install libc6:i386 libstdc++6:i386

Now you can run geekbench without issue:

$ ./geekbench
